Little Bird has Nearly Landed!

Things that make me happy: Peter Pan collars, toadstools, vintage prints, patchwork quilts, peonies and sunshine yellow. No wonder then that I was totally enchanted by Jools Oliver’s Little Bird Collection for Mothercare, showcased at their A/W press day today. Yes, I know I sound like some kind of deranged Julie Andrews but I really did love everything in the collection. The clothing has that extra level of attention to detail that really elevates it from run of the mill high street and the nursery accessories would please the most discerning interiors snob. Everything has a distinctly nostalgic feel but with comfy leggings and jersey fabrics thrown into the mix it is all very wearable and most of all washable. Price wise, the clothes are pretty reasonable. A t-shirt costs £7, a skirt £13. The bedding and nursery pieces are a little more expensive but the beautifully embroidered cot bumper and quilt are the kind of thing that you’ll want to hold onto forever.

The Little Bird collection goes online and in store from August 17th.
