Cookery Corner

So, word has got out about my incredible baking skills as demonstrated in my recent, half term cake making post. The Fabulous Baker Brothers were so impressed/intimidated they invited me to a cook off in a bid to steal some of my most closely guarded culinary secrets…

OK, not really. Aveda invited me to a cookery class/press event hosted by The Fabulous Baker Brothers at Clerkenwell cookery school Food at 52 to showcase their Invati hair care range. Cookery maestros Tom and Henry Herbert who you may recognise off the telly (stay cool, act normal) took a group of us through two fool proof recipes that are super quick and absolutely yum (see below). It was the FBB’s third demonstration of the day but you would never know it – I can confirm that they were full of banter and bonhomie. Henry who is a new dad told us that he often makes the Get out of Trouble Chocolate Cake as a pre-emptive strike when he’s got a night out planned and having tasted it I reckon my husband could get away with pretty much* anything if he made it for me.

*Subject to stringent terms and conditions naturally
